We Can Transform Any Seat Into The New, Innovative “Gel Channel” Standard

Our craftsmen and technicians here at Saddlemen are well known for their talent for custom seat alterations and refurbishing. Now, with the introduction of our brand-new “Gel Channel” line of seats for sport bikes, we also offer the chance for riders to have existing seats remade to match the look, feel and technology of these excellent new saddles.

Saddlemen Custom Gel Channel Sport Seats

The seats in these new product lines utilize Saddlemen’s latest design development, our Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending), that incorporates a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure, increase blood flow, and keep the rider in the saddle longer.

Saddlemen Custom Gel Channel Sport Seats

Seats can be modified along the lines of our three popular new styles. The “Sport” style series uses black-on-black, easy-to-clean microfiber cover material, reminiscent of suede, for the entire top portion of the seat with a matching center strip. The “Tech” style incorporates high-quality, highly flexible fabric top covers that breathe well and are textured to allow the body to move on the seat for aggressive maneuvering. We can also install a layer of memory foam just under the top cover to contour to the shape of the rider’s body for maximum comfort. Also, the “Track” style, with its hard-line looks, are normally covered in contrasting colors and materials that specifically match each bike’s colors and textures.

When ordering, the customer can work with our sales and customer service staff to design the best covering combinations for the perfect desired look, as well as any alterations to the structure and contours of the saddle to suit the requirements and riding style of the owner.

We also can recover rear seating pillion pads at the same time to match the renovated seat’s appearance.

Anyone interested in having an existing seat re-covered, or its foam upgraded, reshaped or otherwise modified, should contact our sales and technical staff, here, in our California offices, either by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , or by telephone (Pacific Time Zone) at (800) 397-7709, during normal business hours. One of our technicians can then go over the options available to achieve each owner’s desired solution, along with cost and turnaround estimates.

We invite you to see what our expertise and technology can do to make riding more enjoyable – no matter how old the bike…

We Are In Indianapolis For The Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo

Saddlemen ownership and staff are on the road again, this time at the major dealer expo in Indianapolis. The Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo runs from February 12th through the 15th, right next to the Colt’s football stadium at the Indiana Convention Center.

It is a huge event, with hundreds of booths filled with industry insiders: manufacturers, distributors, custom builders, racers and media. Though it’s not open it the public, it gives us the chance to help the riding community by letting dealers, shop owners and staff, and other retailers get to know about our products, and how to make them available to motorcyclists across the continent. That knowledge then helps sellers assist the public when it comes time to choose the right product for each individual and bike.

This year, we are pleased to have the opportunity to share the booth hosted by one of our major distributors, Parts Unlimited. We know this will mean an extra-busy time for our guys at the booth, which we welcome! We’re confident that the more that people know about our top-of-the-line seats and luggage, sales (and many happier riders) will follow.

As we did at the recent V-Twin show, we’ll be running demonstrations and answering questions about how our expertise and technology can make riding more enjoyable. Our aim is to make sure that information about Saddlemen products will be up-to-date and accurate, and will be shared across the country for another year.

Ailing Rider Gets Another Custom Saddlemen Seat For A Second Bagger

Last year, we had the chance to build a seat for Rick H. of Riverside, California. The aim was to help get Rick back riding comfortably and confidently while healing up from a severe tailbone injury. Our customer service staff and seat builders worked with him to construct an “Explorer” design saddle to meet his needs.

Rick got back to us within days, letting us know the seat worked great… “It is perfect!”

Recently, we were pleased to be able to make another Explorer seat for him, this time for his great looking red Road King Custom. This time we covered the seat with tan colored Saddlehyde, with the eye-catching results seen in the photos Rick sent to us.

Massive Motorcycle Industry Event Is Traditional Kick-Off For New Year

The Saddlemen company is proud and fired-up to be at the gigantic 2010 V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio. This year’s event runs from February 6th through the 8th, at the Duke Energy Convention Center. Well over 300 exhibitors are scheduled to attend, including manufacturers, distributors and motorcycle media. And while the event is exclusively for industry insiders, it is always an exciting opportunity to show off new items, and familiarize shop owners, service department staffs and representatives of major retailers and distributors with our product line.

Every year, the Expo gives manufacturers, like us, the chance to educate the people that sell our products nationwide with the latest and most accurate information about Saddlemen seats and luggage. That knowledge then helps shops and retailers assist the riding public when it comes time to choose the right product for each individual and bike.

For motorcycle industry “insiders” going to the show, look for our booth close by the big display put on by our friends (and major distributors) at Drag Specialties.

And for the riding public across North America, you can look forward to knowing that the thousands of people in the motorcycle aftermarket business will have the chance to learn about our motorcycle luggage and seats, and can then pass along that knowledge and advice to potential buyers looking for the best products for their tastes and needs.

We’re looking forward to running demonstrations and answering questions and proudly showing what our expertise and technology can do to make riding more enjoyable – and knowing that that information will be shared across the country for another year.

Our Commitment To Direct Contact With The Riding Public Continues: Saddlemen Demo and Show Appearances

Since the founding of our company, Saddlemen has consistently made appearances across the country to show riders why we are proud of our seats and luggage, and to help potential customers learn about our high-quality products and make the best choice for their needs when purchasing from the Saddlemen line.

Some years, we’ve run our own displays, and other years we’ve also teamed up with our primary distributors, Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited, to show our seats, saddlebags and other luggage to the riding public. In 2010, our reps will be out nationwide – at rallies, consumer shows, dealer open houses and trade shows, demonstrating the quality of our products, and the finer points for making the right choice when buying Saddlemen.

High Desert H-D Retailer A Great Source For Saddlemen Products And Information

Harley-Davidson of Victorville

We recently received New Year’s greetings from a great Saddlemen retailer, Harley-Davidson of Victorville. Located high up in the desert country east of Los Angeles, H-D of Victorville sits right off major Interstate 15 at the Roy Rogers Drive exit.

Their Parts Manager, Lou Berg, is a knowledgeable long-time rider, and veteran of many years with Southern California area motorcycle dealerships. He’s quite familiar with the Saddlemen product line, and can help direct you to the right seat or luggage item for your needs and taste.

Dealerships and shops like Harley-Davidson of Victorville, and people like Lou are key to helping the riding public learn about the quality and value of Saddlemen motorcycle seats and luggage. We gladly direct attention their way, and give them a big “thank you” for the great job they do representing us across North America.

Whether you cruise across long stretches of open desert highway, or commute around town, Saddlemen has products to help.

We invite you to see what our expertise and technology can do to make riding more enjoyable.

Retailer Tries Our King Seat – Back Pain And Discomfort Left Behind

Dan Ludwig, owner of OneStopMoto.com sells lots of Saddlemen seats and luggage. After hearing all the positive comments about our saddles, he decided to give our King Seat a try on his Harley-Davidson to see if it would improve his riding experience.

Dan contacted us to let us know how the seat worked for him…

OneStopMoto.com Saddlemen King Seat OneStopMoto.com Saddlemen King Seat OneStopMoto.com Saddlemen King Seat OneStopMoto.com Saddlemen King Seat

“I just installed a new Saddlemen King Seat with backrest on my 2001 Fat Boy. I have been shopping for a new seat for some time – because of back soreness after only an hour or so riding.”

“I heard a lot of hype about this seat, so I decided to give it a try, but not expecting too much. Well, I was pleasantly surprised.”

“After several hours of riding, I was trying to figure out why my back wasn’t sore. I noticed I was not sitting on my tail bone like most seats. I understand this is attributed to the unique “split-cushion” design of the King Seat. Keeping your weight off your tailbone is critical to keep the seat comfortable and your back in check, especially for long rides. Additionally, I adjusted the backrest significantly forward (yes, you can do this with the King Seat) which helped me maintain an upright sitting position, and allowed me to lean back and rest as I rode, without being way back on the bike. I believe this also helped to relieve back stress.”

“Bottom line is this. If you want a good looking seat with great lumbar support to relieve back pain, and a comfortable ride, this is the seat for you.”

We are always happy to hear such positive feedback. Our goal and design philosophy has always been to provide greater comfort and more enjoyable riding time for our customers. We know what our technology and craftsmanship can do, and it’s gratifying to see that our seats are helping the riding public improve their time on the road.
