Bold Looking Saddle Made Especially For Manufacturer's Centennial Machine

Saddlemen was priviledged to provide a custom version of our Gel Channel style seat for the commemorative Avon Motorcycle Tyres 100th anniversary motorcycle.

This special custom-built 2011 Yamaha YZF R1 was equipped with numerous top-of-the-line aftermarket parts and accessories from manufacturers across the United States. It was unveiled at this year's Dealer Expo in Indianapolis in February, and will appear at events nationwide throughout the remainder of the year.

Our custom seat features Saddlemen's latest structural design features and materials, and salutes Avon's British heritage with Union Jack highlights along with the company's logo.

“Valentino Rossi” Themed 2009 Yamaha R1 Unveiled At Long Beach Show

At the recent Long Beach Cycle World International Motorcycle Show, Don Emde, publisher of Parts Magazine and project leader for the build, unveiled an attention-getting, street-legal, custom Yamaha, the Rossi/Riders For Health Yamaha R1, built to be auctioned for charity next year.

Proceeds will benefit the Riders for Health organization. Saddlemen was pleased to make and donate a special custom seat and pillion for this unique machine, and proud to be among the top-of-the-line aftermarket manufacturers asked to participate in its creation for the Friends Of Riders For Health organization.

The bike’s concept is to be a one-of-a-kind “Track Day” sportbike, wrapped in famed racer Valentino Rossi’s AGV “Five Continents” graphics. This machine boasts numerous upgrades from major aftermarket firms. When auctioned, the eventual buyer will receive all needed “street legal” items currently off the bike, as well as a second full set of body work and windscreen.

Recently, Saddlemen held a "Ride To Work Day," for our staff to commute on their motorcycles. Quite a range of machines showed up: baggers to sport bikes; Harleys and imports; brand-new, out-of-the-showroom models alongside vintage custom-project rebuilds.

Busy Saturday At Los Angeles Area Metric Machine Retailer's Parking Lot Event

Saddlemen was pleased to take part in Del Amo Motorsports' massive annual parking lot sale, on Saturday, September 25th. We ran one of the many displays outside the Redondo Beach store, showing our motorcycle seats and motorcycle luggage.

It was a very hot September day, and we were pleased to meet so many riders and their families who came out to enjoy the day, along with the excellent deals, sights, sounds and product displays.

Our thanks to the ownership and staff at Del Amo Motorsports for being great hosts, and giving us the opportunity to show our product lines to the motorcycling public of Southern California.
