The New “Gel Channel” Series Of Saddles Feature Our Newest Design Innovations And Light-Weight, High-Quality Materials

We’re proud to introduce our brand-new “Gel Channel” line of seats for sport bikes. They are designed specifically for the variety of uses these machines are asked to do: off-roading, running on tracks, and simply getting around town. These new saddles feature Saddlemen’s latest design development, our Gel Channel (GC) technology (patent pending), that incorporates a split piece of SaddleGel and a channel in the base foam to relieve seating pressure, increase blood flow, and keep the rider in the saddle longer. We’ve used the best materials, to provide high quality, light weight construction along with great looking styling that’s second-to-none..

The “Sport” style series uses black-on-black, easy-to-clean cover material for the entire top portion of the seat with a matching center strip. Each “Sport” seat is slightly bucketed in the rear section to contour to the rider’s body for better control during aggressive riding.

The “Tech” style series incorporates high-quality, flexible fabric top covers that breathe well and are textured to allow the body to move on the seat for aggressive maneuvering. Just under the top cover is a layer of memory foam that contours to the shape of the rider’s body with additional memory foam in areas strategically positioned for maximum comfort..

The “Track” style series has hard-line looks that can’t be matched by any seat on the market. These seats are covered in contrasting colors that make it obvious that it’s a custom, and are specially constructed using a variety of materials that specifically match each bike’s colors and textures. Each “Track” seat is slightly bucketed in the rear section to contour to the rider’s body for better control during aggressive riding..

Saddlemen is proud to unveil the first of an ongoing series of exciting cooperative projects with top-of-the-line motorcycle builders and designers to produce innovative and stylish new seats.

Our first effort, the Slammed Pro Tour combines the proven, popular Pro Tour seat design with refinements and the styling experience of Todd Silicato, founder of Huntington Beach, California’s Todd’s Cycles. Todd sculpted the seat to drop down into the bike for a low riding position that also helps the rider touch the ground with confidence at stops. The aim – to create the ultimate low-profile, bagger seat that’s acceptable for touring.

As with the standard Pro Tour, this comfortable seat is made with Saddlemen’s famous combination of progressive density foam and SaddleGel™ in the seating areas, easing tailbone pressure and improving circulation for a smooth, comfortable ride.

New Seat Models Combine Best Design And Features Of Saddlemen Product Line

Saddlemen is pleased to announce that our new Explorer G-TEC seats can now be purchased through our Saddlemen Online Store.

The latest innovation in riding comfort; the Explorer™ G-TEC combines elements of Saddlemen’s famous touring seat family with the advancement of Gel Channel technology, incorporating gel and a channel in the main foam (patents pending).

The G-TEC's flexible fabric cover breathes well, and is installed over a concealed gel channel and a layer of memory foam that conforms to the shape of the rider’s body, relieving seating pressure and increasing blood flow to keep the rider and passenger comfortable and in the saddle longer.

The deep, wide contours of the saddle are mated with a new nose shape to create a long distance saddle that helps the rider touch the ground with confidence at stops.

Many G-TEC models are available with a matching driver’s backrest for superb lumbar support and riding comfort. Each seat is easy-to-install with all necessary mounting hardware and instructions included. All Saddlemen seats are proudly made in the U.S.A.

"Slammed Pro Tour" For 1997-2007 Harley-Davidson Touring Models Nears Release

During the next few weeks, a new version of our Slammed Pro Tour Seat will be available for purchase.

This saddle is designed to fit Harley-Davidson Baggers/Tourers for the 1997 to 2007 model year range, and features the same top-of-the-line layout and materials used with our initial Signature Seat, for 2008-2010 models (shown at left).

Designed in collaboration with Todd Silicato, noted custom bike builder, and founder of Todd's Cycles of Huntington Beach, California, these seats are the ultimate low-profile, bagger seat that still provides acceptable comfort, support and riding endurance for touring.

Specifically, the new version Slammed Tour Pro is built to fit FLHX & FLHTC models, while also fitting FLHTC, FLHR, FLTR and FLHT designations. They are designed to look best and mate with the center dash of the Street Glide and Road King, models, and they will also fit other Harley-Davidson Touring machines, but there will be a gap between the seat’s nose and the center dash. The seat will fit bikes fitted with, or without, saddlebag guards.

Kevin Schwantz Signature Seat by Saddlemen

Saddlemen is pleased to announce the launch of the Kevin Schwantz Signature Seat for sportbikes. The Kevin Schwantz Signature Seat features Kevin’s world famous #34 as well as his signature embroidered on the seat.

“We are very thrilled to be working with Kevin, not only is he a great ambassador for the sport, he knows exactly what’s important when it comes to seating position on a motorcycle” says, Ron Benfield, Director of Sales and Marketing at Saddlemen, “Saddlemen will also partner with Kevin at his Schwantz Motorcycle Riding Schools, by fitting the school bikes with his signature seat.“

When Kevin retired from professional competition in 1995, the FIM felt the loss to the sport was so significant that they retired his signature competition number 34. It was the first time in the history of the sport that a rider had been so honored, and his number 34 continues to be one of the most recognized symbols in racing. “I am excited to work with Saddlemen on the development of this seat and more”, says Schwantz, “my students and racers to come will benefit from the relationship as we continue to develop hi tech sport bike seats.“
