More Style Options With Leather-Look Vinyl And Chrome Studs Now Available For Successful BR3400 And BR1800 Models
Saddlemen is proud to introduce two new versions or our top selling “BR” hybrid Back Seat and Sissy Bar Bags. Using the same design and layout of our BR3400 and BR1800 models, we’ve added two new style selections, using our great looking leather-grained cover material, along with the option of chromed studs.
These new bags have all the features and versatility that have made their “SaddleTuff” fabric predecessors so successful, including the convenient top-loading compartment, ultra-versatile mounting system, detachable backrest pad and numerous easy-access external pockets.
The new variants of the BR bags come in four models, in two sizes (3400 and 1800 cubic inch capacity) and two cover styles: straight-forward, grained, leather-look vinyl and the same cover material with the addition of studs for the “Desperado” look.

Our Product Development Staff Is On The Lookout For Bikes For Design And Research
Here at Saddlemen™ we are not only working on products for new motorcycles, but also constantly updating our existing products and adding products for existing motorcycle models.
As it’s often more difficult to find a existing model motorcycle at one of our friendly local dealerships, we are turning to you, our customers, to lend us a hand.
We need various brand and model motorcycles to develop or check the fitment of new accessories. Obviously we do not expect anyone to do this for free and are more than willing to reward your efforts with new Saddlemen product.
Currently, we are looking to work with:
Honda Shadow VT1100C Spirit for 1995 through 2008
Honda Shadow VT1100C2 Sabre for 2000 through 2009
Suzuki M109 for 2006 through 2009
Saddlemen continually works to develop new, innovative products, as well as refining and improving existing products.
Summer Brings Wave Of Race Reports
From a record-breaking win at Pike’s Peak to the biggest Flat Track events of the summer, our sponsored racers, are doing us proud, and sharing their experiences. Besides our main racing page, we also sort out their reports alphabetically, by racer and chronologically for the convenience of interested racing fans.
Since our company was founded, Saddlemen has been an enthusiastic sponsor of motorsports; its people and events. We’re proud to provide information about the riders, teams and racing events we support.
Handy Saddle Extensions An Early Saddlemen Innovation
An early Saddlemen innovation, and a long standing steady seller has been our Comfy Saddle rear seat extenders.
Made with the same high-density, high-quality foam used in our famous seats, and covered with our standard leather-look marine grade vinyl, Comfy Saddles add comfort by extending the width of a passenger seat with two foam-filled pads suspended with a strap – simply slipping over the existing passenger seat. They are a great help for rear seat riders on long distance trips, and are a convenient alternative to touring seats.
We produce four models, in two cover styles: our clean, uncluttered “Cruiser” styling or “Desperado” styling with chrome plated studs; as well as a choice of adjustable and permanent “universal” average-width yokes, with eight inches between pads.

Below: Comfy Saddles, shown in both studded “Desperado” style, and non-studded “Cruiser” styling. As shown, the Comfy Saddle simply is placed over the motorcycle’s own rear seat.

Major Iowa Dealership Hosts Manufacturers’ Displays
On Saturday, June 19th, our traveling sales and product information specialist, Gary Smith, was at Des Moines, Iowa’s Big Barn Harley-Davidson for their Big Spring Open House. Gary was representing Saddlemen as part of the Open House’s gathering of manufacturers’ representatives organized by one of our major distributors, Drag Specialities.
After helping them decide on the right sissy bar bag for their needs, and their bike, Gary took a few pictures of Jeff G. and Karen L., and his Harley-Davidson V-Rod. Gary said that Karen got the Saddlemen bag for Jeff as an early Christmas present.
Big Barn Harley-Davidson is located in Des Moines, right off of Interstate 80 near the merge with Interstate 35.
Our thanks go out to the folks at Big Barn for hosting a great event, and for showcasing Saddlemen products.
Saddlemen is proud to show what our expertise, craftsmanship and technology can do to make riding better. We are well represented, coast to coast, all through the year, by distributors such as Drag Specialties, and our own specialists, like Gary.
