Saddlemen’s James Rispoli Claims SuperSport West Title

Big Kahuna New Orleans Race Report – October 5-7

Rancho Dominguez, Calif. - October 11, 2012 -Saddlemen’s James Rispoli’s SuperSport West Championship was the highlight of the weekend for Saddlemen riders as they took to the Triumph Big Kahuna New Orleans for the 12th and final round of 2012’s AMA Pro Road Racing season at the NOLA Motorsports Park. Jake Lewis claimed the SuperSport East title as several Saddlemen racers put in strong performances to finish the season.

JD Beach was the star of the Saddlemen riders in the Daytona SportBike class on Saturday with a 3rd place finish. Jake Zemke followed up in 5th while Cory West and Joey Pascarella held the 8th and 14th positions. On Sunday, Beach took 5th while Pascarella , West, and Zemke came in at 16th, 26th, and 28th, respectively.


With the season wrapped up, Road Race Factory/Red Bull’s JD Beach finished out in 6th overall in the Daytona SportBike class thanks to his consistent performances, while DucShop Racing’s Jake Zemke was right behind in 7th overall. Team Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki held their positions of Joey Pascarella in 9th and Cory West in 10th.

Youngster Jake Lewis pulled a 2nd place finish on Saturday for Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki while James Rispoli held up the team for Celtic Racing/Orient Express in 4th place. Teammate Corey Alaxander missed the season finale following an injury sustained during training. In Sunday’s race action, Rispoli moved up to secure a 2nd place finish while Lewis fell back to 11th.


Saddlemen rider James Rispoli dominated the SuperSport West class on his Saddlemen Chicane seat, securing the 1st overall spot with 4 class wins and 8 victories overall. Jake Lewis claimed the SuperSport East title with 2 class wins and 3 overall on the season. Corey Alaxander finished 5th in the SuperSport East despite missing out at NOLA.

AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series
Tyler O’Hara of Bartel’s Harley-Davidson finished 11th on Sunday at NOLA. O’Hara won 4 races this season aboard his Saddlemen Performance seat, good for 3rd place in the 2012 XR1200 Series.
