Bergen County Harley-Davidson Hosts Manufacturer's Gathering

Saddlemen's Gary Smith reports an big turnout and excellent sales of our luggage at the recent "Vendorpalooza" at Bergen County Harley-Davidson, in Rochelle Park, New Jersey.

Gary represented us at Bergen County H-D as part of the travelling display of manufacturers affiliated with Drag Specialties, our major nationwide distributor for Harley-Davidson related products.

Los Angeles Area Bartels' Harley-Davidson Unveils Artist's Custom Painted V-Rod

Recently, Saddlemen created a custom seat for a one-of-a-kind, uniquely painted V-Rod, produced by Southern California artist, Jack Armstrong. The premiere event was hosted by Bartels' Harley-Davidson of Marina Del Rey. Among the notable attendees was actor Lorenzo Lamas, and a number of celebrity motorcycle enthusiasts.

For this high-profile project, the builders wanted an excellent seat. Saddlemen was pleased to create a top-of-the-line saddle, based on our proven seats for V-Rods , featuring our famous design sense and innovative construction and technologies.

Huntersville, North Carolina Shop Hosts Party With Music, Prizes & Displays

Saddlemen's Gary Smith, our cross-country technical expert and customer service pro, will be at Easy Eddie's Motorcycle Service & Lounge in Huntersville, North Carolina this weekend, October 22nd through the 24th. Easy Eddie's is celebrating their 10th Anniversary with giant party on Saturday.

As part of the event, Gary will be manning a Saddlemen product display in conjunction with the travelling Drag Specialties truck, run by one of our primary distributors. Saddlemen items will be available for purchase inside Easy Eddie's, as seen in the photo above.

As always, Gary will be available for information and to consult riders about Saddlemen seats and luggage.

As this posting goes live, Saddlemen staff are busy running our displays at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We are at two locations: J&P Cycles in Sturgis, and nearby at Black Hills Harley-Davidson in Rapid City.

Saddlemen’s Gary Smith and Jerry Beaty are manning the Saddlemen booth at Black Hills Harley Davidson, 2820 Harley Drive, in Rapid City. Our area will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, August 5th through August 15th, with a wide variety of Saddlemen product available, and years of experience to offer.

Major Iowa Dealership Hosts Manufacturers’ Displays

On Saturday, June 19th, our traveling sales and product information specialist, Gary Smith, was at Des Moines, Iowa’s Big Barn Harley-Davidson for their Big Spring Open House. Gary was representing Saddlemen as part of the Open House’s gathering of manufacturers’ representatives organized by one of our major distributors, Drag Specialities.

After helping them decide on the right sissy bar bag for their needs, and their bike, Gary took a few pictures of Jeff G. and Karen L., and his Harley-Davidson V-Rod. Gary said that Karen got the Saddlemen bag for Jeff as an early Christmas present.

Big Barn Harley-Davidson is located in Des Moines, right off of Interstate 80 near the merge with Interstate 35.

Asheboro Dealership’s Annual Open House

Saddlemen’s Director of Sales, Stan Alicki, was on hand in Asheville, North Carolina for Cycle Center Honda’s annual Open House on June 5th.

In conjunction with Parts Unlimited, a major distributor of Saddlemen products, Cycle Center offered a large selection of our luggage, seats for import (metric) motorcycles and saddlebags, as seen above.

The Saddlemen product display drew plenty of attention, and a number of sales, as can be seen above, with two customers who purchased our sissy bar bags, and at right, saddlebags as well.

Below are two interesting machines brought in by local riders. At left, a 1972 Suzuki GT750 racing bike that has been run up to 207 mph at Charlotte Motor Speedway; while on the right, with its owner, is a 2006 Suzuki scooter with just under 150,000 miles on the odometer. The same owner put over 416,000 miles on a Harley-Davidson 1987 Tour Guide, which needed only one engine rebuild (at 245,000); that machine is now on display at Harley-Davidson’s museum.

Michigan Dealer Hosts Distributor Display

Over Memorial Day weekend, Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson hosted the traveling promotional truck from motorsports product distributor Drag Specialties. Their display included a wide range of Saddlemen items, and the dealership also made sure plenty of Saddlemen gear was available for purchase. Our own roving sales and technical expert, Gary Smith was there as well, and reports plenty of interest in our products, and a top-notch presentation of Saddlemen luggage on motorcycles.

In the photos above, at left, are our “Bagger Chaps”, and at right, on the bike’s back seat, our ultra-popular BR1800 Back Seat & Sissybar Bag.

Gary took part in the Thursday night “Bike Nite” ride, and was available for questions and product advice on Friday.
