Stockton Area Eagle’s Nest Harley-Davidson Hosts Major Open House Event

Saddlemen was pleased to be a part of the big open house at Lathrop, California’s Eagle’s Nest Harley-Davidson, in the Stockton/Manteca area, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Our Director of Sales, Stan Alicki, got the chance to meet and talk with riders from all across the Bay Area and Northern California, as well as the great people from Eagle’s Nest. In conjunction with one of our major distributors, Drag Specialties, there was a prominent setup of Saddlemen brand luggage on display, and Stan reports strong enthusiasm from the crowds and plenty of interest in holiday shopping for motorcycle-related gear.

Booths and vendors spread out across the dealership, and the roads were lined with bikes from across the region.

Our thanks go out to the staff and ownership at Eagle’s Nest H-D for their hospitality and cooperation. Road visits like this across the country are all part of our efforts to show the advantages of Saddlemen has to offer, and the pride we have in our product line.

700-Miler Combines Product Testing And The Fun Of The Open Highway

A beautiful, crisp mid-November weekend proved an excellent time for nine riders, Saddlemen employees and friends of Saddlemen, to get in some quality touring miles out on the roads of Central California. Over the weekend, the group covered over 700 miles, and roamed from the southern Sierra Nevada foothills, across the Central Valley, and over to Santa Maria, near the Pacific Coast.

Plenty of Saddlemen products were with the group, including Stan Alicki’s BR3400 back seat bag, seen below. Our Jerry Beaty also completed the testing of some new materials incorporated into a saddle for his bagger as well.

While in Santa Maria, the bunch stopped off to pay a visit at Santa Maria Harley Davidson, and had a great chat with the owner, Kevin. Sunday meant a return leg south to the Los Angeles and Orange County area, and plenty of fun memories of a scenic trip across the varied landscapes of mid-state California.

Friends of Saddlemen from the Orange County Dualies Motorcycle Club are inaugurating a great charity event. Check out the details of this Glenn Helen to Arrowhead ride, provided by the organizers below:

The inaugural “RIDE THE MOUNTAIN WITH MALCOLM SMITH” Dual Sport & Adventure Ride is coming up quickly on Sunday, November 15th and there are still spots available for the ride that has something for everyone.

Start your day off with Malcolm and his friends as they enjoy a pancake breakfast presented by the Orange County Dualies motorcycle club (www.dualies.com) with voluntary donations going to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (www.pbtfus.org) (Yours truly will be flipping pancakes!). Then it’s time to saddle up and ride the San Bernardino National Forest trails that helped make him an off-road legend and star of the famous motorcycling movie – ON ANY SUNDAY.

The ride’s basic route contains fun trails and roads that is challenging, yet can be ridden by most riders without any difficulty. Adventure class riders will especially enjoy the challenge of this ride, as will entry level riders as the roll chart has been developed to call out information route information. All of the ride’s routes contain great vistas with plenty for room and time for you to enjoy the day.

In keeping with the NO WIMPS tradition, Malcolm himself, along with son Alexander Smith and SOBOBA Trail Ride promoter Bob Graziano, laid out aggressive hard sections for riders ready to accept a “A-Level Enduro Rider Only” challenge. Group Takes In Southern California Sights

Several Saddlemen staffers, including Director of Sales, Stan Alicki, recently got together with friends for a Sunday day trip up to Ventura, California. It was a great chance to test some Saddlemen seats, visit a major area dealership, and to simply enjoy the open roads.

Starting out at their homes in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, the group met and headed north, leaving Interstate 405 and taking the winding, up-scale, residential western end of Sunset Boulevard (seen above) to Santa Monica, and the coast. Then, it was up the shoreline on Pacific Coast Highway, through Malibu, on to Ventura County.

In Ventura County, they stopped off and paid a visit to the good folks at Ventura Harley-Davidson, in Camarillo, (above), and then enjoyed more of the day touring around the hills and agricultural valleys of this area north of L.A. (below).

The trip proved to be a lot of fun, and gave our Saddlemen engineering, customer service and sales people some valuable insights into new product ideas and materials.

Westminster H-D’s New Model Year Demonstration Features Saddlemen Seats

Over the weekend of October 16th and 17th, Westminster Harley-Davidson in Orange County, California hosted a large test drive event for Harley bikes and trikes. Saddlemen’s Director of Sales, Stan Alicki got the chance to visit and meet the public. He was very pleased to see that a number of the 2010 H-D machines there were equipped with Saddlemen seats, as was the green machine (below) from Champion Trikes, an excellent local firm with products available at Westminster HD as well.

The entire 2010 Harley-Davidson lineup was represented, and test drives were available for qualified riders. On Saturday there was a band and a mobile Carl’s Jr. kitchen truck for hamburgers and sandwiches.

Saddlemen makes seats for a wide range of Harley models and are available through local H-D dealers, nationwide. Southern California riders can stop by Westminster Harley-Davidson and to see the new 2010 HDs and take a look at the new lineup from Saddlemen for 2010 as well.

Military Focused Retailer Features Saddlemen Products In Special Promotion

Our friends at online retailer Black Hawk Customs are promoting Saddlemen products this month. We recently posted images of their tough looking company truck, complete with camouflage patterning, “guns,” and our logo.

We’re glad to know that businesses like Black Hawk Customs are out there, providing our nation’s service members worldwide with efficient and convenient (as possible) sources for powersport products, whether for recreation or daily use.

Pig Trail Harley-Davidson Hosts Display During Massive Gathering Of Riders

Saddlemen’s Director of Sales, Stan Alicki visited Pig Trail Harley-Davidson in Rogers, Arkansas in conjunction with the gigantic Bikes, Blues & BBQ event held in the Fayetteville/Rogers area from September 23rd through the 26th. We got the chance to have a featured display at Pig Trail Harley-Davidson, while literally hundreds of thousands of riders converged on the area.

Stan got the opportunity to match up numerous riders with Saddlemen gear, and meet and greet the motorcycling public that converged on the area for the big festivities.

We at Saddlemen were glad we could be there to enjoy the festivities along with demonstrating and selling lots of our luggage, and want to thank the fine folks at Pig Trail Harley Davidson for their hospitality and support.

Saddlemen Retailer Salutes Our Military With Eye-Catching Truck

Black Hawk Customs, an online retailer that focuses on providing motorsport accessories, parts and apparel to members of the armed services, just unleashed this military-themed company truck out onto the roads. A number of the company’s big sellers are featured on the tailgate, and we are proud to say Saddlemen is one.

James Campbell, the CEO of Black Hawk Customs told us, “The wrap is perfectly done by Kaieos here in San Jose, California. Keith Vu was great to work with and put in way too many hours into the design. He took our idea of a Powersport themed military design and came up with a vehicle wrap that will blow our competition away… especially with our door gunners!”

James tells us that Saddlemen items are big sellers at Black Hawk, and we are pleased to know that our products are being enjoyed by the hard-working, brave and sacrificing people protecting our nation.

Appleton Harley-Davidson/Buell Hosts Special Saddlemen Event

Recently, our traveling technical and sales “guru,” Gary Smith, visited Appleton HD in Clarksville, Tennessee for a special open house event. Gary got the chance to meet a wide variety of riders, show off our products, and almost literally sold a truckload of Saddlemen gear.

Gary would like to thank the people at Appleton Harley-Davidson for hosting a really successful event, and also Drag Specialties representatives James McGlynn and Mike Goggins (seen above on their bikes), for their top-notch support and coordination. Above right, are Matt and Tammy Silva, just a couple of the great folks he got to meet in the Nashville-Clarksville area.
