Saddlemen's Stan Alicki reports that our Sturgis rally booths were almost cleaned out of product by the end of the show. Saddlebags, sissybar bags, other luggage and seats sold briskly. We are at two locations: at the center of things, at J&P Cycles in Sturgis, and close by at Rapid City's Black Hills Harley-Davidson.

Seat And Luggage Demo Draws Enthusiastic Interest From River Run Attendees

This year’s Laughlin River Run in Nevada, proved to be a great opportunity to show off the Saddlemen product line to the riding public. 2010 was the 28th annual River Run, or as it called in the “fine print,” the American Motorcycle Association Southwest Regional Road Riding Convention. We set up our display booth right outside of the popular Pioneer Hotel, where we kept busy talking to a constant stream of visitors.

We also brought along examples of our innovative saddlebags and our famous motorcycle seats for product presentations to the public.

This year, we will be running a demonstration booth at the Laughlin River Run from April 22nd through the 25th outside of the popular Pioneer Hotel at 2200 South Casino Drive.

Our booth will focus on product information and advice for riders interested in our seats and luggage. We will not be taking product to sell, but we will be able to handle sales that will then ship from our factory. Feel free to ask our staff at the booth about what we can do.

The design is fantastic with the either-side-opening it is convenient to get into while still mounted on the bike. I found the semi-rigid construction was a perfect backrest on those long open roads. The side pockets are perfect for a few water bottles, your camera, cell phone, maps and other items you might want to get during a gas stop or along the highway. I used the straps on top to secure my rain suit giving easy access without opening the bag. Yes, I did have to use my rain suit, and the included rain cover for the bag which kept everything dry. The movable shelf inside was perfect in its highest position to keep my laptop handy but away from possible damage. All in all, your designers have done a fantastic job on this bag.”

Saddlemen Luggage Lines Prove Big Sellers At Motorcycling’s Biggest Event

Again this summer, Saddlemen continued its strong yearly showing at the Sturgis Rally, selling and installing our motorcycle luggage at two locations: J&P Cycles in Sturgis, and at Black Hills Harley-Davidson in Rapid City.

Our sales and customer service representatives got a chance to meet riders from across the continent, and show off the style and features of our popular luggage lines. Above, our “Engineer Bill” helps explain the installation and use of our versatile new BR3400 Sissy Bar and Back Seat Bag. Other big sellers were our BR4100 Back Seat Bag (center) and our range of Sissy Bar Bags. Below, from one of our roadside displays, are riders putting on their new Saddlemen luggage, a sissy bar bag, and our TR3300DE Deluxe Rack Bag.

Sturgis is also a great opportunity to hit the open road and do some sightseeing. Our guys got the chance to visit Mount Rushmore, and experience a major (golf ball sized) hail storm… It is the Northern Plains, after all.
