Saddlemen Representatives Ready For Motorcycling’s Biggest Destination
Year after year, Saddlemen representatives have proudly gone each summer to the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. It has been a great opportunity to connect with the motorcycling community and to show our motorcycle seats and luggage the public.
We are excited to continue the tradition this year, with Saddlemen displays and products available to purchase in both Sturgis, and just up the road in Rapid City…
Saddlemen’s Gary Smith, our prized technical expert and “road warrior” will be running the Saddlemen booth at Black Hills Harley Davidson, 2820 Harley Drive, in nearby Rapid City. Gary will be there from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, July 29th through August 9th, with a wide variety of Saddlemen product available, and years of experience to offer.

Saddlemen’s Director of Sales, Stan Alicki, will be running the Saddlemen display at J&P Cycles, 1650 Lazelle Street, in town, in Sturgis itself. Stan is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic rider, and will be there from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, July 29th through August 9th, to answer questions and offer advice, and with Saddlemen items available for purchase.

We’ll continue to be out across the country all through the year. Most often, we’ll be affiliated with a Drag Specialties display, and will always be looking forward to answering questions and proudly showing what our expertise and technology can do to make riding more enjoyable.
As shown previously, Drag Specialties’ ”Redwood Run” was a great chance for two of Saddlemen’s sales folks to hit the open road earlier this month, catch up with people in the industry, and have some fun during this ”thank you” event. Whether is was at a great local restaurant, during a fun cook-out, or taking a break from riding, there was lots of time to socialize, tell a few jokes and stories, and “network.”

Both Stan and Gary had a great time on the trip, and thank the people at Drag Specialties for organizing and hosting the festivities. Until next time!
The Illinois State H.O.G. Rally offered us a great opportunity to meet the public, and show our motorcycle luggage, saddlebags, and of course, our seats. Saddlemen was represented at the Drag Specialties display, based during the rally at Hall’s Harley-Davidson, in Springfield. Our Director of Sales, Stan Alicki, was able to work with the knowledgeable Drag Specialties representatives, and help quite a few riders chose the best luggage and seats for their needs, and provide technical and installation assistance. The booth staff included, as pictured above, Todd, Drag Specialties Sales Representative; Mike, Drag Specialties’ Inside Sales Manager; Saddlemen’s Stan; and Johnny,Memphis Shades’ Sales Manager.
Each year, Drag Specialties, one of Saddlemen’s major nationwide distributors sponsors a “thank you” getaway ride for their dealers and manufacturers. This year’s was in Northern California. Over the weekend that ended May and began June, two of our folks got a chance to represent Saddlemen, hit the open road, socialize with other people in the industry, and take in the sights of the California shoreline, coastal mountains, and of course, the redwoods…
Saddlemen’s Director of Sales, Stan Alicki (left), and Gary Smith, our “road” sales manager and technical expert extraordinaire (right), ready to hop on their Harley “baggers” and hit the highway from Huntington Beach. Most of the ride north focused on Pacific Coast Highway and U.S. Highway 101. The weather was cool and overcast, and Stan says the heated Saddlemen seat kept the ride comfortable – as did our gel technology in the saddles.
Fresh air and the open highway on a cool spring day along the central coast, leaving the “joys” of big city traffic far behind… Definitely not in “So Cal” anymore!
After several days of riding and fun out along the coast and around the redwoods, it was time to head back south over the Golden Gate, and on home… For Stan and Gary, the six-day trip logged about 1600 miles on their Saddlemen seats.
Watch for a second Redwood Run report, with plenty of photos of the festivities.
