Strong Positive Review Of Our “SaddleStow” Large Fastback Sissy Bar Bag

Dennis Mahan of K & N Engineering

Dennis Mahan of K & N Engineering recently sent us a testimonial based on his experiences using our Large Fastback Sissy Bar Bag.

“After riding to Sturgis and back from here in Southern California using this bag, I’m very happy with it. The design is fantastic with the either-side-opening it is convenient to get into while still mounted on the bike. I found the semi-rigid construction was a perfect backrest on those long open roads. The side pockets are perfect for a few water bottles, your camera, cell phone, maps and other items you might want to get during a gas stop or along the highway. I used the straps on top to secure my rain suit giving easy access without opening the bag. Yes, I did have to use my rain suit, and the included rain cover for the bag which kept everything dry. The movable shelf inside was perfect in its highest position to keep my laptop handy but away from possible damage. All in all, your designers have done a fantastic job on this bag.”

Saddlemen Luggage Lines Prove Big Sellers At Motorcycling’s Biggest Event

Another Successful Sturgis Rally for Saddlemen

Again this summer, Saddlemen continued its strong yearly showing at the Sturgis Rally, selling and installing our motorcycle luggage at two locations: J&P Cycles in Sturgis, and at Black Hills Harley-Davidson in Rapid City.

Another Successful Sturgis Rally for Saddlemen

Our sales and customer service representatives got a chance to meet riders from across the continent, and show off the style and features of our popular luggage lines. Above, our “Engineer Bill” helps explain the installation and use of our versatile new BR3400 Sissy Bar and Back Seat Bag. Other big sellers were our BR4100 Back Seat Bag (center) and our range of Sissy Bar Bags. Below, from one of our roadside displays, are riders putting on their new Saddlemen luggage, a sissy bar bag, and our TR3300DE Deluxe Rack Bag.

As shown previously, Drag Specialties’ ”Redwood Run” was a great chance for two of Saddlemen’s sales folks to hit the open road earlier this month, catch up with people in the industry, and have some fun during this ”thank you” event. Whether is was at a great local restaurant, during a fun cook-out, or taking a break from riding, there was lots of time to socialize, tell a few jokes and stories, and “network.”

Saddlemen in Springfield, Illinois for H.O.G. Rally

The Illinois State H.O.G. Rally offered us a great opportunity to meet the public, and show our motorcycle luggage, saddlebags, and of course, our seats. Saddlemen was represented at the Drag Specialties display, based during the rally at Hall’s Harley-Davidson, in Springfield. Our Director of Sales, Stan Alicki, was able to work with the knowledgeable Drag Specialties representatives, and help quite a few riders chose the best luggage and seats for their needs, and provide technical and installation assistance. The booth staff included, as pictured above, Todd, Drag Specialties Sales Representative; Mike, Drag Specialties’ Inside Sales Manager; Saddlemen’s Stan; and Johnny,Memphis Shades’ Sales Manager.

Each year, Drag Specialties, one of Saddlemen’s major nationwide distributors sponsors a “thank you” getaway ride for their dealers and manufacturers. This year’s was in Northern California. Over the weekend that ended May and began June, two of our folks got a chance to represent Saddlemen, hit the open road, socialize with other people in the industry, and take in the sights of the California shoreline, coastal mountains, and of course, the redwoods…

Saddlemen’s Director of Sales, Stan Alicki (left), and Gary Smith, our “road” sales manager and technical expert extraordinaire (right), ready to hop on their Harley “baggers” and hit the highway from Huntington Beach. Most of the ride north focused on Pacific Coast Highway and U.S. Highway 101. The weather was cool and overcast, and Stan says the heated Saddlemen seat kept the ride comfortable – as did our gel technology in the saddles.

Fresh air and the open highway on a cool spring day along the central coast, leaving the “joys” of big city traffic far behind… Definitely not in “So Cal” anymore!

After several days of riding and fun out along the coast and around the redwoods, it was time to head back south over the Golden Gate, and on home… For Stan and Gary, the six-day trip logged about 1600 miles on their Saddlemen seats.

Watch for a second Redwood Run report, with plenty of photos of the festivities.
